I built the Creative Planning Tool for Aura's in-house creative team, a custom app made with AI. Anyone at Aura can file a brief. The creative team triages it, schedules its rounds against each designer's weekly hours, and compares the estimate with the hours actually spent. Marketing keeps its campaign calendar in the same app, and every brief links to the campaign it serves. Marketing and Creative now plan from one calendar.

Briefs don't need a form. When someone posts a request in Slack, typed into the channel or as a linked Doc, Deck, or Sheet, AI reads it and splits it into separate briefs. Each brief gets its round dates worked back from the deadline, lands in triage, and gets a reply in the Slack thread. The tool is also an MCP server, so people at Aura can file, plan, and update work by asking Claude, with their own permissions.
